Welcome to my website

Writing and sharing fiction with my family, students, and friends has always been a pleasure for me.  Now I’m excited to share my stories with YOU, too!

But why now, at the age of 80?

Like many Americans, I have been disturbed by the violence, lack of respect, hatred, and divisiveness surrounding us. Feeling helpless for months, I asked myself what I could possibly do that might make a difference. Then I recalled the stories I have told for nearly eighty years: stories of adults, children, animals, even inanimate objects, becoming acquainted, overcoming adversity, and learning to respect and love each other. With my stories, I could plant some seeds of hope!

And so, dear readers, gather round and allow me to take you back to a time when our hearts seemed purer, decisions appeared easier, and the path forward was clearer. We will begin with my most popular story, OLD FIRE EYES. This is a rip-roaring adventure, to be sure, but when you walk through the wilderness beside our main characters, you will learn a thing or two about listening to the voice in your heart.
